Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI)
Overview
The System provides the ability to quote, create, and manage MPCI policies.
For each plan type, the System is configured differently to accommodate the RMA's policy processing requirements. Learn what to expect in the user interface for each plan type.
Quotes
To allow users to quickly and easily quote prospective insureds, in the System, a user can input policy, coverage, and detail line information for quoting purposes without requiring a Tax ID or applying lock-out dates or Mark Complete. An existing grower can also receive quotes from the System using the existing grower record. Quotes, if accepted, can then be turned into policies.

Policies
In the System, a policy is attached to a grower record, and then coverages and details lines are attached to the policy. As such, several there are several tasks available in the System from within a policy. A user can view coverages, take action on specific crop coverages, and access additional policy tabs that allow a user to add detail lines, edit the grower record, view the policy balance and claims for the policy, add attachments and notes to the policy, print documents for the policy, add contracts, shareholders, written agreements, inspections, and more.

From the View MPCI Policy page, you can access different tabs for a policy. These tabs allow you to quickly navigate to different areas of the policy. While the available tabs may change depending on the crop or coverages on the policy, the standard tabs include: Coverages, Detail Lines, Grower, Policies, Policy Balance, Claims, Attachments, Change Log, Notes, Print, and Utilities.
Coverages
Once a policy has been created, then coverages can be created, viewed, and processed from the Coverages tab of a policy.
Detail Lines
After a policy has been created and coverage has been attached, a user adds detail lines. Detail lines, also known as premium or acreage lines, contain the details of the insured's planted acreage, including unit numbers, type, practice, reported acreage, and calculated premium as well as supporting information such as APH databases, Land IDs, and shareholders. Detail lines are added from the Detail Lines tab of a policy.
