Acreage Reporting
Overview
Depending on the crop and history, a user can report acreage from the Detail Lines tab of a policy, from the Fast Edit AR page for a coverage, or from the Fast Edit CLU page for a coverage.
Basic Reporting
For any crop, acreage can be reported from the Detail Lines tab of the policy. Then, once acres have been entered, a user can add signatures from the Signature Maintenance module.
Fast Edit AR
A Fast Edit AR feature is available to allow a user to quickly update the acres, share, and plant date for the current year for all insured crops. This page can be accessed from both the Detail Lines tab of a policy for most, but not all, crops as well as the main search bar of the System's header if the policy number is known.
Fast Edit CLU
The Fast Edit CLU page allows agency and AIP users to report acreage information, such as planted acres, plant dates, crop, and premium line unit numbers, by Farm Serial Number and Tract. This non-mapping solution provides agents with the ability to process acreage at a field level and fulfill CLU reporting and annual acreage reporting without any duplicate effort.
This functionality is available from within the new Fast Edit CLU page and applies to the 2018 and succeeding Reinsurance Years. The Fast Edit CLU page supports processing of most spring crops.
To expedite the entry of acres, plant dates, and CLU fields, the Fast Edit CLU page was formatted to be similar to the layout of the FSA 578. The Fast Edit CLU page is populated from a CLU staging table. As IMS files are received within the crop year, an automated weekly import process will update existing FSN/Tract and fields with any new FSN/Tract and fields found in the current RY file. This update process ensures that reconstituted farms or new land are reflected in the page as soon as information is received through the CIMS import. Users can key acreage information from the 578 into the Fast Edit CLU page, which, upon save, will push the field and acreage data to the planted CLU table and to the premium lines. Users may also print a CLU-based Acreage Report for growers to review and sign by the acreage reporting deadline.
