Global Elements
Overview
There are some features in the System, such as attachments and notes, that can be accessed from multiple places. These are global elements, and as such, are covered here instead of within each topic category where they can be found (e.g., notes functionality is available from within policies as well as claims).
There are several places in the System where a user with certain System rights can upload and/or view supporting documentation (as attachments) for a grower's record (e.g., on the Attachments tab for MPCI and Livestock policies and on the Claims tab for MPCI policies when a claim is expanded in the Claims for Policy section). There are also additional rights to allow the editing and deleting of these attachments from each attachment grid (whether those available on the grower's record as mentioned above or in other places throughout the System). When a user has any of these System rights, some or all of the attachment-related buttons may be visible in the user interface.
There are several places in the System where a user with certain System rights can add a note to a grower's record. Depending on a user's role, these notes might be added at the policy level (e.g. on the policy's Notes tab) or at an even more granular level (e.g., when editing an existing inspection). Regardless of the notes use/access location, the functionality remains similar.
In the System, users have the ability to print MPCI policy forms for individual MPCI policies at the policy level or for multiple MPCI policies across the System at one time based on criteria and forms selected in the Batch Printing tool (Tools > Batch Printing).
Forms printed using either method will print/generate as PDFs and as such are not able to be edited digitally. Based on where forms are printed from, they may either be downloaded directly to the user’s browser for the user to open to view, save, and/or print or added to the user’s Print Queue (Tools > Dashboard > Print Queue tab) for retrieval.
