At a Glance: Claims & Inspections Register

The Claims & Inspections Register can currently be accessed and opened from three places in the System: Reports > MPCI Reporting > Claims Register, Reports > Private Products Reporting > Claims Register, and Reports > MPCI Reporting > Inspection Register.

• If the Claims & Inspections Register is accessed via Reports > MPCI Reporting > Claims Register, by default, the MPCI view of the register displays.
• If the Claims & Inspections Register is accessed via Reports > Private Products Reporting > Claims Register, by default, the Private Products view of the register displays.

NOTE: Access to the Private Products view of the register is controlled by system permissions. Not all users will have access to it.

• If the Claims & Inspections Register is accessed via Reports > MPCI Reporting > Inspection Register, by default, the Inspections view of the register displays.

NOTE: To toggle between views, use the Product Type dropdown. For more information on this, see "Change the View of the Claims & Inspections Register".

When the Claims & Inspections Register is opened, the default search set for the view it is accessed from begins running. Any claims or inspections in the System matching the default search’s selected filters display in the Results grid. The default search for a view can be set in one of two ways: (1) by the System based on the type of user logged into the System (e.g., Agents, Adjusters) or (2) by the user via the Claims & Inspections Register Settings page for a view (see "Set Your Default Search for the Register").

The Claims & Inspections Register consists of the following main parts/areas:

The parts/areas of the Claims & Inspections Register as seen on the MPCI view of the register. The parts/areas of the Private Products and Inspections views of the register are laid out in the same way.

a. Product Type dropdown: Use this dropdown to toggle between the MPCI, Private Products, and Inspections views of the register. For more information, see "Change the View of the Claims & Inspections Register".
b. Search Options: Choose between two different types of search options to search for claims or inspections in the System. For more information, see "Claims & Inspections Register Search Options".
c. Results grid: View claims or inspections that match the search completed as well as sort, filter, and group those claims or inspections in the Results grid. For more information, see "Claims & Inspections Register Results Grid".
d. Settings button: Click this button to open the Claims & Inspections Register Settings page and edit certain settings to customize the Claims & Inspections Register to your specific needs. For more help with the options available on this page, see "Claims & Inspections Register Settings Page".

NOTE: On the Private Products view of the Claims & Inspections Register, an Actions dropdown currently displays for Agent Users. However, Agent Users are restricted from using this dropdown.
