Delete a Shareholder

To prevent shareholders from being deleted from the System when they're attached to multiple policies, shareholders can only be deleted at the policy level. The System will not allow you to remove a shareholder unless it's been removed from all detail lines on all policies. To remove a shareholder from a unit, see "Remove a Shareholder from a Detail Line".

1. To delete a Shareholder from a policy, click on the Utilities tab for the policy.
2. In the Shareholder Utilities section, click Manage Policy Shareholders. The View Policy Shareholders page opens.
3. In the All Shareholders Associated with Policy grid, mark the checkbox next to the name of the Shareholder(s) you want to remove.

NOTE: If the Shareholder is associated with one or more detail lines on the Policy, the user will not be able to select the Shareholder because the checkbox will not appear to the left of the Shareholder name. The Shareholder will need to be removed from all detail lines and then they can be deleted from the policy.

4. Click Delete.
5. The System asks you to confirm the deletion. Click Yes. The Shareholder is removed from the grid.
