Livestock

DESCRIPTION ID #

This ticket is a compilation of AIP requests and items found by MCT for the Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Specific Coverage Endorsement (SCE) form.

Changes that were made:

Updated for all years.

• The Statement page was changed to a two page format to be consistent with DRP and LGM.
• A line for Grant Authority was added and data that can be used for user filled. The Grant Authority was moved to the two page Statement format.
• The Conditions of Approval Section was moved to the top of the two page Statement format.
• The USDA Multiple Benefit Certification Statement was added that was missing.
• A QR Code was added.
• The version date was updated to "01-2024".

FCIC released the 2024 Shellfish Crop Provisions, and they have been implemented in the System.

Provisions print with the MPCI Policy Declaration Page when the print option to print provisions with the form is selected. The MPCI Policy Declaration Page prints from the MPCI policy Print tab and from the Batch Printing menu.

The Master Yield unit rules were updated on the Production Reporting Worksheet Ticket, plus other updates for all years.

Changes that were made:

• The version date was updated to "01-2024".
• The APH Yield Descriptor Legend label was updated to "^^ APH / Production Reporting Yield Descriptor Legend:".
• The Pre-Quality Production was updated to only print if it is greater than the Total Production for both SYPR and non-SYPR.
• The Yield Type Code was printed instead of the Yield Descriptor Code in the APH Yield Descriptor field.
• The Master Summary Unit was set to print on the form regardless if there were summed acres or not.
• Fixed "MASTER UNIT" was set to print under the unit summary number. Master Yield's Summary Unit Number is 0000-0000.
• The Master Summary Unit detail lines no longer print Insured Share data; 0% prints.

A bug was fixed surrounding the New Crop/P/T SA Calculations in the 2021 and 2022 RYs.

Changes that were made:

It was determined that the system was incorrectly including the approved APH/Adjusted Yield from child lines in the calculation of the SA yield. Child lines and the underlying Base Coverage detail line share the same APH value and, thus, has been used twice instead of once in the calculation. This appears to have impacted the SA yield calculation by small amounts (1-4 bushels/pounds) based on policies tested. The SA Yield could be overstated or understated depending upon the coverage and the included units' yields. When the New Crop/P/T/V unit was applied before any acres were added to the system for the RY updated, the calculation was accurate.

A query was created for the 2024 RY to identify any policies with planted acres + child lines + a newly created SA Tyield. AIPs were able to correct any current RY values after the bug was corrected, if desired. We have assumed this calculation bug has been in the system for multiple RYs.
