Add a Pivot to a Field

The Pivot Tool allows users to cut pivot patterns into existing fields. This tool is accessed from Tools > Pivot Tool. When this option is selected, the cursor displays a small white circle at its point.

With imagery turned on so you can see the pivot area, select Tools > Pivot Tool.

With your mouse, click to make the center point of the pivot. Release the mouse button.

Drag the cursor from the center point to the outer edge of the pivot—a line follows the cursor and a circle is drawn to display the area of the pivot circle being drawn.

Click your mouse again on the outer edge of the pivot to complete the pivot circle. A pivot pattern will be cut into any fields that fall under that pivot pattern—the area of the pivot is displayed at the center of each pivot drawn.
