Create a Quick LRP Estimate

All Reinsurance Years

1. Go to: Estimator > Quick Estimates > Quick LRP Estimate or Estimator > Quick Estimates > View Quick Estimates > select "Create Quick LRP Estimate" from the --Select Quick Estimate to Create-- dropdown or Livestock > Create Quick Estimate > Quick LRP Estimate. The Create Quick LRP Estimate page opens.
2. From the Reinsurance Year dropdown, select the RY for the estimate. The System defaults to the current Reinsurance Year.
3. From the Effective Date dropdown, select the effective date for the estimate.
4. From the State dropdown, select a state for the estimate.

 

5. From the Commodity dropdown, select the commodity for the estimate. The options are:
• Fed Cattle
• Feeder Cattle
• Swine
6. From the Types dropdown, select the applicable type for the estimate. Once the Type has been selected or the Coverage Information section is completed, the Scenario Information sub-grid displays.
7. In the Estimate Name field, type a name to assign to the estimate using up to 60 characters. This name is displayed in the grid on the View Quick Estimates page and prints on the Quick Estimate Information Report.
8. Under the Scenario Information section, in the # of Head field, type the number of livestock for the estimate.
9. In the Target Weight (CWT) column, type or use the arrows tool to select the target weight of the livestock covered under the endorsement.
10. In the Insured Share field, type the share value for the estimate.
11. From the Endorsement Length dropdown, select the length of the endorsement for the estimate.
12. Click Calculate. The System calculates the estimate based on the criteria entered and displays the values in the Summary of Coverage Information section.
13. In the Livestock Risk Protection Estimate sub-grid select the desired estimate.
14. When you've completed your estimate, click one of the following:
• Save: Saves the estimate and you remain on the Create Quick LRP Estimate page.
• Save & Exit: Saves the estimate and closes the Create Quick LRP Estimate page. You are taken to the View Quick Estimates page.
• Print Estimate: Prints the Quick LRP Estimate report to a PDF that downloads to your browser window.
• Email Estimate: Opens the Email Estimate window. The window allows users to select recipients and add a note to the template email body. To send, select Send Email or select Cancel to close the window.
• Create Policy/Detail Lines: Begins the process of converting the estimate into a LRP policy by opening the Grower Lookup popup. On this popup, you can search for the name of the grower you want to create the policy for. Then, once the grower is selected, the System will open the Add New Livestock Policy page and will automatically pre-fill fields with the options selected in the Quick LRP Estimate. From there you can create the new LRP policy.
• Cancel: Closes the Create Quick LRP Estimate page without saving the estimate.
After saving, the System assigns an estimate number to the record. All estimate numbers are 7-digit numbers, sequentially assigned, that end in the letter "E". For example,"0000000E" and "0000001E" would indicate the first and second estimates built within the System. For Quick LRP estimates, the estimate number is appended with. Along with the estimate number, the user and date created are also saved with the estimate.
